Viola is characterized by high productivity and an attractive color. The bulbs are firm and purple, with all bulbs uniform in shape and size and a complete absence of twin bulbs.
Viola onions are planted either by direct seeding in the field or using specialized planting equipment at a rate of 700–850 grams per donum.
The planting period extends from September until mid-November.
The crop is harvested after the complete drying of the foliage, starting from the beginning of May.
